I am a member of the Omaha Music Teachers Association and am originally from Kansas City. I have been studying piano since the age of six, and I went on to receive a Bachelor's of Music from the University of Missouri in 2007. At MU I studied piano with several excellent professors and sang in both the school's jazz choir ensemble and the top choir at the school, University Singers. After graduating, I moved to Boston and attended Berklee College of Music for several years. While there I focused on songwriting (a passion of mine from a young age) and music business. Throughout the years I have been teaching and working with children in my extra time. I find teaching piano to be a natural and enjoyable experience, and I think that this is reflected in the positive feedback I've received from past students and their parents. I have always found it imperative to teach with patience and kindness in order to let a student's natural musical abilities shine. Music has always been my refuge, and I try to pass that feeling on to each student I encounter.
